Description

Linen fabric is made from the cellulose fibre found within the stalks of the flax plant, one of the oldest cultivated plants in human history. As an annual plant, flax completes its life cycle in a single growing season, making each harvest a unique opportunity to produce this treasured fabric.

While linen production is a labour-intensive process, the result is a fibre that is both highly absorbent and incredibly durable. Linen garments are especially valued for their exceptional coolness and breathability, making them the perfect choice for hot climates and warm weather wear.

With its natural texture, timeless appeal, and unmatched comfort, linen remains a favourite for both fashion and home furnishings.

Care Guide

Machine Washable: Linen is durable and can be machine washed. Use a gentle cycle with cold or lukewarm water and a mild detergent to preserve its natural fibres.

Avoid Bleach: Bleach and harsh chemicals can weaken the linen fibres and cause discolouration, so it’s best to avoid them.

Air Dry for Best Results: Linen dries quickly and should be air-dried flat or on a line to prevent shrinkage. If using a dryer, select a low-heat setting and remove the fabric while slightly damp to minimise wrinkles.

Iron While Damp: For a crisp look, iron linen while it’s still slightly damp, using a medium to high heat setting. For a natural, relaxed look, skip ironing altogether and embrace its charming wrinkles.

Store with Care: Store linen in a cool, dry place. Avoid plastic covers, as linen needs to breathe. Folding is ideal, but if hanging, use padded hangers to maintain the fabric’s shape.
