Modal is a cellulose fibre made by spinning wood pulp from the beech tree.
Modal was first produced in the 1950's by the Japanese. Modal is breathable, 50 percent more absorbent than cotton and feels and drapes like silk. It is sometimes know as "Vegan Silk".
Modal is colour fast, shrink resistant and has a natural stretch, making it versatile for a range of garments.
