Modal Fabric - Palms. Modal is a cellulose fibre made by spinning wood pulp from the beech tree, also known as vegan silk.
Modal was first produced in the 1950s by the Japanese. Modal is breathable, 50 percent more absorbent than cotton and feels and drapes like silk. It is sometimes known as "Vegan Silk".
Modal is colour fast, shrink-resistant and has a natural stretch, making it versatile for a range of garments.
